A Life Hack To Share

Did you know that rainbows are actually full circles?

When you see a rainbow in the sky, you are only seeing half of it - the other half is below the horizon!

Try mixing different colors of fruits and vegetables into your meals to create a rainbow of nutrients on your plate!

A Fun Fact To Share

  • Rainbows are actually full circles, but we usually only see a half-circle due to the horizon blocking the bottom half.

  • Each color in a rainbow corresponds to a different wavelength of light, with red having the longest wavelength and violet the shortest.

  • It is theoretically possible to see a quadruple rainbow, although very rare, when light bounces inside raindrops multiple times creating additional bands of colors.
  • Double rainbows occur when light is reflected twice inside a raindrop, creating a smaller, fainter rainbow above the main one.

  • The order of colors in a rainbow is always red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet, as a result of the way sunlight is refracted and dispersed through the raindrops.
